Repeat gridlines

Yesterday I tried to do a grid like this in TVPaint, to create something like an isographic cameraview

I thought that this could be possible, if the line angle tool in the guidelines panel had the option to repeat it

I don't know if REPEAT ←, REPEAT → and DISTANCE are the best choices, but they came to my mind first.

Then, won't it be easier to simply apply a isographic perspective to the grid, rather than apply a bunch of simple lines ?

I don't know this is possible. I searched for it but didn't find anything. Could you tell me how?

No, no, it's not possible : I just imagine it would be more convenient to affect the grid rather than plan every line manually.

Ah ok. I expected it to be a bit more versatile, if you could place one line and repeat it and then place the other line, but maybe you're right.

crazy... i'm right now having the exact same issue!
i need a triangular grid and thought i could activate parallels to the line-angle guideline so that i only need to set three items in the guideline panel.

similar to the ray count in the perspective grid options, you put in a value and this would determine the distance of the parallel guides.

i thought it was there but probably i was remembering a previous request :? :P

Oh nice idea

i found the old feature request it was from may 2013 (in beta)
i called it "fill" then but "parallel" or "parallel distance" would be better i think.

edit# was this ever todo listed?

Feature Request.

i would very much like a extra option for the @LineAngle type guideline.
namely
to be able to have mulltiple parallel lines (without having to set them all manually!)
see image:

so one switch to togle between single guide or multiple ones (we could call it Fill? or Multiple? or Parallels?) the value would set the distance between the lines (density of the fill)

i have to do a big job that requires isometrical perspective and this would come in very very handy!

Can't we just rotate the grid 45° and squeeze it vertically afterwards?

I'm fine with that solution too.

I would like an isometric Guideline like the 2 point vinishing point but where the lines are parallel.

I'm fine with all these ideas, since they all give a pretty similar result, which could be useful in more than one way

I thought I bring up this old request, since I currently would need it pretty often.

Yes, and i want to add that it would be a valuable addition, worth investing a bit of developer time in (... also i imagine it wouldn't be too hard to do)

if only for the reason that isometric perspective is something that you see a lot in combination with bitmap art, for instance when creating game art
