i use mac ppc g4, shopping for intel mac: wait on tvp?

bonjour-
i think this is a slight variation on what's been covered in the forums, forgive me if i missed it somewhere:

i have yet to download my new "TVP animation pro special upgrade"; i'm still using mirage. i now use a mac PPC G4, but i'm shopping for one of the new intel macs. i notice on the TVP download site that both PPC and intel are distinct downloads. is it the case then, that the software versions are not interchangeable, and that i then should wait to buy my new intel mac before downloading and installing?

also, i've been thinking of getting a tablet PC; will i be able to utilize my same TVP on both?

oh, one other thing-

i see the forum admin announcement that states
"in order to improve replies, please join your machine configuration as often as possible (OS, cpu, ram, HD)."
and i'm afraid i don't know what that means, so i welcome any additional info.

When you buy a license you get a dongle and it will work on both pc and (intel)mac and also on your tablet pc.
off course only at one at a time.
You do need to download the right version(mac/PC) but that is free.
So i would guess that means you no longer have to wait!

OS - Operating system: OSX, WinXP, Vista...etc.
cpu - Central Processing Unit, what type of processor does your machine have : Intel Xeon, ehhh... etc.
ram - memory: amount, type
HD - Hard Disk: size,speed(brand)

i bought it online and i'll be downloading it, so does that mean the physical dongle will still be my original mirage dongle?

Hi CharlieC,

if you bought the Mirage upgrade, yes, you'll continue to use the Mirage dongle.

The application itself is a Universal Binary, meaning it works on both PPC & Intel,
the 'platform' we ask for is just for our records, because it helps knowing what platform
people are using when they have problems, that's also why we ask for OS, cpu, ram, HD
whenever possible.

No problem when the Intel Mac shows up, just plug in the dongle, install TVP Animation, and go.
