Transparent window panels

Came across a smart feature where the window panel is transparent when placed on top of the drawing area. When you start the pen/brush stroke outside the window panel and move into the panel it stays transparent- you can see what you're drawing through the panel. It turns solid when the pen is placed over the window panel. It is a handy feature when screen real estate is tight, or you like your pallet or brushes right next to where you're working. How easy would it be?
