Can TVP Animation work on both Mac & PC with the USB Don

Post by mlmiller1983 »

I have both a PC and a Mac and I was wondering if I would be able to use TVPaint on both Macs and PCs(not at the same time) using the same USB Dongle? Thanks!!

Another question just crossed my mine. Does the USB dongle have to be in USB port integrated into the motherboard or can it be used on PCI USB add-on card as well. I know some programs that use USB dongle are picky this well. Thanks!!

While we never tried an addon PCI-USB board, almost all our dongles here are on USB Hubs, because that's make swaping them while developing so much easier than leaning each time under the desk to do it.
And there is absolutely no problem this way.
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !

I have my tvpa dongle plugged in a (cheap) PCI USB card, and I haven't any problem with it.

when I 've installed the add-on card, I remember I had to change the first choosen slot,
because the boot sequence didn't start the usb at each time,
after having changed to another free PCI slot, everything works nicely.
(winXP + SP2).
