Tvpaint 11.7.1 crashes when I grab current tool with texture

Running TVPaint 11.7.1 STD Pro on Linux Manjaro KDE (this behavior did not occur in previous versions on the same system).
Recently noticed that TVPaint crashes every time I use 'grab current tool' (with or without color), when it is a custom textured brush.
Specific example would be Azi Brush, it has crashed with another custom brush.
This does not happen when the brush is a solid color such as the PenBrush.
When the crash occurs the window with 'saving sequence' appears, but saves nothing, then TVPaint is gone.
