Project tab - timeline view, cursor inconsistency

Hello!
I noticed something pretty disorienting in the project tab - timeline view.
If I click between different clips, the cursor is acting funny. First it stays on where I click, but the second time I click back on the clip, it goes to the beginning of the clip.
There seems to be no reason for this cursor jumping, so is there a way to improve this?
