Fx Brush Spreading - some issues

Hi everyone,

I'm now doing some tests with the amazing Brush Spreading effect.
I've been talking with Fabrice and Elodie about this already, but I thought this could help other people so I'm posting it here ;)

I'm working on the TVPaint version 11.0.3 - 64 bits - Windows

Here a my issues :

1. Some satured colors appear from time to time (Screenshot below).
I have to precise it's generally appearing when I apply the Brush Spreading on the second time, not first time.

2. Since I've updated my version to 11.0.3, I can apply the Brush in a specific direction, but I now I can't get back to a random angle brush application
I've tried to change all the parameters, unsuccessfully.

"Directionnal" brush application

"Random" brush application (I managed to do this one by changing my original animated brush, I rotated manually some images)

My current parameters

3. When the "diffusion interne" (don't know the english term) is not high enough, the FX applies letting a "square" appearing :

Thanks in advance for your answers :)
Adn thanks again to the team for this great Fx tool that is helping us so much to reach the kind of texture effect we're looking for on our current project !

This problem is pretty hard to fix as it is not linked to the FX itself but to the way calculations are done with TVPaint, with the processor + the color management, etc.
It will not be fixed in the current engine. But maybe tweaking the settings might more or less fix the issue.

For the other ones, Eric might help.

3. When the "diffusion interne" (don't know the english term) is not high enough, the FX applies letting a "square" appearing :
not a bug. just increase the value of the parameter.

Thanks Fabrice, I see. I asked the question because as I read this thread : http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php? ... ing#p87284, I thought it would work differently (with a sort of fade).
Maybe I'm not using the right parameters but I didn't managed to get this result... (There's a link to a video Elodie had made but it's available anymore unfortunately)

Maybe you can see what I'm doing wrong :

Hello, sorry for the late answer, the school semester is starting and we have less time. I didn't notice it immediately :
Change the spreading angle from 89° to 360°.
if the brush is big and at size = 100% , you can also tweak it's profile.
