hi mika-chai,
here's the basic steps to follow :

- open Distortion/Warpping Grid_FX in the FX-Stack,
- choose the W and H mesh size/nb, (4x4 in this exemple),
- set display button on "Source",
- set the display preview option (left-down corner button) to None, (or "No Preview"), see pict.1
- now, edit/move the points in the preview window, to surround your object,
- the Source defined, click the "copy Source to Destination" button [Sd] (see pict.2),
- now, set the display preview option (left-down corner button) to Full, (or "Show Preview"),
- set display button on "Destination",
- create a key (supposing the fist one is for "no distortion")
- go to the end frame of your distortion FX, (say frame 25), and create a new key,
- edit the destination grid's points to get the desired distortion.
- select frames from keys, and Apply.

hope it will help you. 8)

I can't exactly remember when, but someone else asked us some informations regarding this effect. I added some explanations in the TVPaint Animation Pro manual, but it was not updated in the TVPaint Animation manual (In fact, it is a matter of time because an update for the two software is planed :) ).

ZigOtto explained the steps very well, and I'm seriously thinking about doing a video tutorial

nb : the skulll.tvp file can be found in the content sharing section of this forum.
