Get Copied text from Windows Clipboard

If I mark some text in a Text editor and CTRL-C Copy it to the Windows Clipboard, I can Paste it into the Storyboard Dialog Boxes in TVPaint.

Is there a way to access the Text in the windows clipboard with George and assign it to a variable?

If I CTRL-C Copy an image inChrome I can access it from TVPaint with
tv_brushFromClipboard

So I was thinking if there was something similar with Text.
