George command to control parameters-Display Settings panel

Post by Svengali »

The Display Settings panel contains settings for many of the options affecting the display: Grid, Guides, Anim Field, Anim Disk, Camera, Passepartout, Crosshair, Stencil, Paper, Selection, Safe Area, Out Area, In Area and FieldChart.

Almost all have individual Check Boxes, Color Choice, and Opacity Slider settings. It would be helpful to have control over these through a George command.

Perhaps something like:
Tv_DisplaySettings [Name] [State ON|OFF] [Color R G B] [Opacity VAL]

For example, some settings are available in other commands, like toggling the Stencil on and off, but the Opacity defaults to 100%. It can be much more effective set to 15% to still be able to see what is contained in those areas that are masked. It would also be nice to toggle some of the other features like Guides, FieldChart, and etc.

Maybe an easy alternative would be to make the Display Settings Panel parameters persistent between sessions so they could be set and stay that way next time you start TVPaint.

Thanks
Sven
