Symmetry Feature

Post by Gochris1 »

I would like a "mirror" or symmetry feature for TV Paint. I know I can cut and paste a mirror image, but this feature seems to
invite more creative possibilities than a simple cut and paste.

Like this:

Thank You.

You can use two effects from the FX Stack Panel, mirror (pro version only) and kaleidoscope, both in the Distortion menu.

I'd be interested in a symmetric painting *mode* -- realtime symmetric drawing and painting (rather than an FX stack applied on existing artwork), similar to what the open source paintings apps MyPaint and Krita have.

It was in deluxe paint a long time ago in the 90", so why not adding this in the feature request list. :)
That's said, it might not be on the top of the list, compared to other requests.

Yes, I remember it from DPaint! TVpaint reminds me of DPaint so much, one of the many reasons I love it so much.

Any updates on this feature ?

For comparison, Krita has a nice symmetry tool.
