Files don't save after importing clip

Post by vanderweide »

Hi there,

I've been encountering an issue with saving after I import a clip, the .tvpp file will save completely blank. This occurred before and after the update. I use TVpaint for mac.
This problem doesn't occur when importing as a layer. However, on several occasions I accidentally import as clip and will have a blank file after spending much time on it.
Does someone know why this is?

Thanks!

When you say you are "Importing a clip" do you mean that you're importing a .mov or .mp4 file into your project ?

I think the reason it may not save the file with the clip intact is because you need to check the box next to Preload when importing the clip. This will load the .mov or .mp4 file completely,
so it becomes an embedded element in the .tvpp file , instead of simply being a "referenced" file from outside the .tvpp project .
Check PRELOAD when adding MOV or MP4 clip.png

Hello, I agree with Mr Nethery, this sounds like a preload issue, please keep us updated :)
