Re: Various stuff made with TVPaint
Sorry, these are horrific, not really a compliment to TVPaint :( They could need a few inbetweens more, which is surely a deadline or budget problem, but except of that what is so horrific? Inbetweens have nothing to do with it - it's a distasteful piece of wasted money bringing kid's perception of...

Re: Is there a way to get a micro dongle?
...But in the mean time I've found a very crude, but actually quite pragmatic solution using a certain kind of hub with a short cable and small USB connector. It's basically just stuck on the tablet with bluetack, Hey BJTrakman, thanks for sharing your idea. I never heared about Blutack before - se...

Re: Elephorm - Elodie tutorial notes
These tutorials have been a useful tool in learning the workings of TVPaint. Now that I've gone through them this list will be great for revisiting particular lessons. Thanks Elodie (and also JQuinn for making a stellar request).

Re: KABANERI of the Iron Fortress by WIT STUDIO - Japanim
I'm always amazed by the lighting in a lot of these Japanese Animations. Is that all achieved via TVP's FX?

Re: Animators with similar styles to Masaaki Yuasa
I've watched a video of the production of Kick Heart, and there was a lot of traditional drawing involved, in both the production and the storyboarding, so to give Flash 100% of the credit is overstepping. That said, I'm surprised that he used Flash in all of his productions, as you say. There are s...

Re: Animators with similar styles to Masaaki Yuasa
(Another film for you: "Belladonna" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanashimi_no_Belladonna ). Thanks for the recommendation, I thoroughly enjoyed that, and the drawings were really good. It'll take another viewing for me to really get a hold of the story/narrative... but all in all, I'm re...

Do you know what programs he used for Mind Game and kemonozume? Even Kick Heart (which I could believe was Flash too)?

Re: Animators with similar styles to Masaaki Yuasa
While "rough" is kind of dismissive, I would argue that a lot of Yuasa's distortions are complex stylisations. That said, I see what you're saying about it's rarity. Somehow Yuasa's character's are easy for me to connect with, and I rarely connect with characters in more traditional Japane...

Animators with similar styles to Masaaki Yuasa
I'm looking for any animators with similar styles to that of Masaaki Yuasa. Not his more traditional forms... but the Yuasa of Mind Game , Kemonozume , Kick-Heart , and Ping Pong ... the Yuasa who's a blend of international styles, and who isn't afraid to let his lines show... who's definitely Japan...

Re: Replacing other programs?
True, I think I will forever be going back to Photoshop for CYMK conversion, levels and curves... and do not yet know a way to change the hue and saturation in TVP, so I'll use PS for that too. Also, I don't know any program that quite matches Corel Painter's impasto, ink layers, etc. (although TVPa...

Replacing other programs?
Hey guys/gals, I am relatively new to TVPaint -- this is my 3rd post on these forums, and I am learning fast thanks to Elodie's tutorials -- however, that said, I am an accredited artist, who uses a Wacom Cintiq Companion with advanced skill levels in Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. (I generally ...
