Hey all! I have a new short I'd love for you to checkout! This one is inspired by the UPA cartoons like Fractured Fairy Tales that I loved growing up mixed with a but of the dark humor of Edward Gorey. Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone! I've released my short film Bristled online after screeening it in festivals over the past year! The short film was hand drawn in TVPaint and I had a great time finishing it and screening it for audiences. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it! https://cgmeetup.com/project/bris...

Custom Panels suddenly missing
Hello, I'm currently on TV Paint 11.0.6. I opened up TV Paint this evening and I think all my settings were reset. The big thing is the tool preset column on the right was completly wiped out and any custom panel or imported panels were missing. Is there any way I can retrieve these? I had some pret...

Re: Composing Music / Sound Design for Shorts
Thanks for the great advice! I agree adding music this late is odd. Originally I had intended it to have no music (There's narration most of the time) but as I've been doing cleanup and trying a few test screenings people have brought up adding music so I want to try it out to see if I'm missing out...

Composing Music / Sound Design for Shorts
Hello, I'm starting to think about adding music to a short I'm working on and I was wondering what other people who are not musically inclined do when faced with this. Specifically: 1. Should I find a a sound designer/composer and let them decide? 2. Is there any easy to use program to compose some ...

Re: Trying to replicate a style to use as BG
Thanks for the replies! I took out some old charcoal (probably laying in my art bin for 15 years) last night and started experimenting a bit with different paper textures and I'm getting some nice results so far. Looks like it will ultimately be the best way to go. Thanks!

Trying to replicate a style to use as BG
Hello, I'm working on a short done in TVPaint and I am starting to prepare the backgrounds. I love the look of this background I found online and I'm trying to figure out how to achieve this type of look so I can make my own backgrounds. bg_20176_testcopyLighter.png I've been trying to get a similar...

Re: How much do you pay a clean up artist?
Thanks for the advice guys! It makes a lot of sense and Ill time out how long it takes to do each drawing! I would say the quality is similar to Tim Burtons Oyster Boy shorts and mostly of just one character. Out of 40 shots, about 7 have 2 charcters.

How much do you pay a clean up artist?
Hi everyone, Im working on a short film and I'd like to hire a clean up artist in the near future. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much to pay as I have no experience doing this before. Do some people pay per drawing? Paying per second of footage wouldn't work for me since some shots are...
