Just loaded up the tool and tested it:
With a Profile like this, it will always look like it is used at maximum pressure. Is this intended?

Yes- I want it to always look this way.

I've attached a TVPX file to this post.

Its the standard pencil brush with a minor adjustment to the pressure curve.
