I stumbled over this article, which describes a line-tracing technique, which uses artificial intelligence to produce better results.

Interesting to make cleaning a faster step, but obviously (and fortunately), humans will be still necessary to fix the lines.

In fact, in the first example I see so many mistakes that it would probably take a longer time to erase and trace again, than doing it from the beginning.

Hehe absolutely. But the output is still impressive, if you think about the input.

It seems a useful function that in case of Export (convert) to vector layer for Flash/Animate CC, ToonBoom, AnimeStudio (their "vector trace function" is not bad), CACANi and CELSYS products by EPS or SVG.
