would be cool to see a stripped down version of tv paint for nintendo ds
...maybe just pencil lines but with animation timeline!

Wow Cress. Colours looks amazing -pressure sensitive too!
Let us know how the R4 card works out and how Colours 'feels'. It would be great to turn My DS into a tiny sketchbook as my tablet PC doesn't easilty fit in my pocket :D

I've got colors! installed on my DS

I think colors works better than I expected. To be honest I didn't expect that much from it. Some colors don't work that well... And the pressure sensitivity is what you can expect.I've found myself
Shortcuts work well, the program itself is fast and loads quickly. I like the fact that it saves the progress as video on every sketch. So you can playback the progress.
It would be great to have at least one or two undos.
overall it's a fun little app for DS in my opinion.

I've got the R4 card, and it works like a charm, drag and drop files back and forth with mac. The UI in the R4 looks like crap, and some homebrew applications won't work. I've got the Colors and Animanatee (??) installed and both run smooth.

I've found myself sketchin in tram, metro, park... it's nice little toy for quick studies, but I still prefer good old paper and pencil.

got it up n running today...great app so far also got that animation app running too..

as for pressure sensitivity you can calibrate the pen in colors also it appears that some DS lite are not as good as others..specifically RED DS consoles and some DS lites that were packed with brainage

i'm using an origional DS...the bulky one...works good though the screen is not as bright as a DS lite.

also some game shops have extra DS stylus packs with a selection of sizes in the pack so you can get larger more managable styus's for drawing without taking out a wacom pen you may lose on a countryside trip!

when i take my wacom pen out [old one from a wacom blue slate] i have it rubber banded to the ds when traveling with it.

regards undo's you can playback a drawing and stop it where you want to 'pick up' and strt drawing...just say 'no' to jump to end of playback
and your thrown back into drawing at the point where you paused the playback...so sorta unlimited undo's in a way! then you can either save over the drawing or save to a different slot..not ideal but say you sketched something then coloured it in you can get back to just the sketch if you needed to.

Hmm. It is sounding tempting.
Apparently they are not making the M4 anymore. I think the replacement is the DSTT in case anyone else is interested.

Nope. The R4. I did a bit of a web search and apparently the DSTT is it's successor. They seem pretty much the same thing though.

there's another 2d animation app being produced, this time it looks like a commercial cartridge rather than a homebrew
