4K on TVpaint pro

I have a cintique 24 pro and upgraded my computer so I can use it with 4K resolution ( 3840 x 2160 ).
When I opened some of my sofware ( painter, clipstudio paint, Toonboom Harmony and Storyboard pro) the icon was in normal size. It looked the same as when I used it with 1920 x 1080 resolution so I guess it's the working area that get all the pixels. But when I started TVpaint pro the icons and GUI tools where very small. I could make the palette floating and make it bigger but I could not see how I could resize the other tools.

So I just wanted to ask about your experienced with working with TVpaint on a 4K screen. Good and Bad things.

Thanks!

In Preferences/Interface set Resolution scaling to 2.

The only issue I have with the resolutions is that on a a 15.6 4k cintiq I feel like a setting between 1 and 2 (1.5) would be perfect as the handles on the timeline can be really tricky when the Res is set to 1 even though the real estate and everything is perfect. If I could just adjust the size of the timeline a fraction or get those little dots a little bigger (half again or twice?) then that would be spot on.

Hi,

Yes I al,so think it would be good to be able to set the resolution to 1,5. Now the interface are a bit too big.

I thought I would post an example of what I mean.
TV Paint setting 1 on 15.6 inch 4k screen (Too small).JPG
vs
TV Paint setting 2 on 15.6 inch 4k screen (Too big).JPG
It's just the timeline which is a bugger for me at setting 1 the handles in particular are very tricky to grab with the wacom pen. I love the real estate for drawing and the icons are fine to grab and click at this size (at least for me) butI should also add that resizing windows at this res is also tricky. In Da Vinci Resolve (and others) you can resize the timeline tracks as you see fit. I use this all the time - very helpful.

I had the same problem on a Cintiq Companion 2. 1 is too small and 2 is too big. Maybe it would be nice to introduce a 1.5 while TVPaint doesn't do proper scaling by itself

Introducing 1.5 scaling is on our list indeed.
It won't be for the upcoming v11.5.1, but a later update, as we need to rescale all of the icons first.

Icons as SVG?

I guess the scaling would be easier to handle then, but maybe all icons need to be replaced with svg:s, but in the long run better.
