Adressing clips from outside

This is something small, but:
I have 2 projects open, one consists of several clips, and I want to import some stuff from it into the other, via KeyFramer. But this starts import from the first clip, without a choice for other clips as starting points, aside from frame numbers.
A bit inconvenient, but not worth change request, I think.
