multiscreen bug - how to get out of this corner?

as many users have reported before, tvpaint's UI doesn't favor multiple monitor set up
i'm having trouble with multiple monitors.
im working on 3 screens; 2 monitors + cintiq
and accidentally clicked "show full page"
now i cannot get out of it.
i cannot reach the menus and restarting goes back into the same view.
also assigning some key doesn work because
there is no command that reverses "show full page".
