there's a definite improvement with this update, well done guys!

I've noticed a number of other 64 bit programs mimicking the problems of the jagged lines etc. on my system, particularly in clip studio paint. I'm still getting a slightly better performance out of the old 32 bit version of the TVPaint software in terms of line responsiveness, so i'm sticking with that until i can get a hardware upgrade. I'm not sure what it is, but maybe mac systems under a certain cpu spec across the board have a problem with 64 bit drawing apps, i've encountered it on 2 of my own mac computers, and every mac computer that i tried at my university, though these have all been pre-2016 models. I know you at TVPaint were having trouble replicating the issues in the beginning on your mac system, out of curiosity what were the specs you were using?

Unfortunately I still have some lag issues, but now they appear randomly from time to time. Usually I only get lag for about 15 seconds before it disappears again. I'm not sure what could cause the problems. I tried both normal mode and Low res mode which didn't fix the issue.

I finally got the chance to test the new version and Hurray! it works great now! I still didn't encounter any lag issues. Thanks!

I stayed away from 10.9 cause of the lag and the fact It had no useful new features for me. Now I downloaded 10.10 and it lags just by using a completely basic brush (pretty much as basic as you can). Is there a way I could download 10.8 ?

Hi, I assume you are talking about 11.0.8 and not 10.8?
This is one reason why it's useful to keep all our old installation files on a disk. Adobe also removed all their old versions from servers, and I am happy I kept mine for the same reasons.
Anyway - I have a copy of 11.0.8 - if you want it I can send it to you.

I'm not going to try this until my film has been finished! Can't say I'm filled with confidence about the lag disappearing I'll know soon-ish

I tried it on a Hackintosh with this specs
macOS 10.13.6
i7-3770K (3,5GHz)
32GB RAM
NVIDIA Geforce Titan (6GB)
SSD

Nothing running in the background, the brush was just the base brush, changing size on pressure. The same works without any issues on 10.0.8.

I have a hackintosh with similar specs, a bit higher. It works great for me now... Are you yousing a 32 or 64 bit TVP pro or STD? Mine is STD 32 bit... I've read somewhere in this thread also , that some people solve it by running TVP in low res mode, but I don't know what that is actually

Hehe than it seems we got a pretty similar setup. I'm using the 64 bit pro version, maybe that's the problem. I guess I stay with 10.0.8, since the updates to 10.0.10 are not worth the hustle.

Mine is i9 3.6Ghz 64Gb RAM with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, and frankly I never noticed a difference between 32 and 64 bit versions and mine works great. But PRO doesn't have a 32 bit version if I'm not mistaken, so you cannot even test it?

yea unfortunately not. One little difference between 32 and 64 is, that you can fullscreen the app. It's not really important, but I use it most of the time.

I can confirm, the old lag problem is solved, a new one introduced. Just basic Brushes have a huge lag from time to time, not allways.
I work on a MacBook Pro 2017, 2.9GHz Quad-Core i7, Radeon Pro 560 4 GB/ Intel HD Graphics 630, with Catalina 10.14.4, Wacom Cintiq 24 Pro. I will have to downgrade again. I am sorry I allready deleted the old installer, can you please update the downloadlink to the old version again?

I can add to that, I tried with the low resolution start, and also the reset trick with deleting the config.ini - the lag of the brush is still there, its not a good working experience.
Can you please reactivate the downloadlink to the old version, who worked fine on my setup?
