Xsheet preferences not saved

Post by Sparkle »

I use the xsheet layer often. Each time I start TVPaint I must go into the preferences to show the xsheet tab. The preferences never seems to save this setting, it is lost on every restart. Anyone know how to fix this?

This is on Windows 10 64bit – I have 2 computers both have the same issue.

Thanks

Do you set the Preferences-> Startup "Remember last used configuration"?

Yes, I had that set. Same issue on 2 windows 10 computers.

Thanks - I think I will start working without the xsheet. Too glitchy.

I have to admit I always wanted to use the vertical X-Sheet in TVPaint ... I had used the one in ANIMO, also in Digicel Flipbook , and coming from a traditional pencil on paper animation background a vertical format X-Sheet is one of the things I always for planning and organizing my scenes. (the X-Sheet in Toon Boom Harmony is also very good , one of the things I like about Harmony) . With TVPaint's X-Sheet I've never been comfortable using it. But the horizontal timeline is great. If only the vertical X-Sheet could behave exactly the same as the horizontal Timeline . (which is how it is in Toon Boom : you can use either the horizontal Timeline or the vertical X-Sheet , whichever you prefer) . But over the years I've become so used to working with the horizontal Timeline in TVPaint that I don't really miss having a vertical X-Sheet. I just stopped worrying about it. (but I still hope that someday that the developers can overhaul the X-Sheet and make it more usable.)
