Exposure size popup when pressing and dragging Insta handles

Post by Mads Juul »

I think an Exposure size popup when pressing and dragging instance handles could improve the navigation/timing experience .
and the number should change while you are dragging. or maybe it would clutter the interface. ??
I'm just missing the information sometimes.

hm ... I can see the need for this sometimes, especially with longer holds. But for values under 3 it would be overkill.

Could this be made in a way that it only kicks in at 4 exposures?

still think the layerpanel bar could be a good spot for it.

i use that all the time to see how many frames my selection is and, i can ONLY see it while dragging once the selection stands there is no way to tell how many frames it is.
maybe an other request a: selection size indicator

I think popups would be overkill. so I would like to take that feature request back. I guess its an old think from the line test software Take2 that still float around in my brain.
Because it's actually only sometimes I miss the Exposure size info

I have been thinking about it. And i think you are right. the layer panel bar would be a good place.
But I think the Exposure Size Info only should appear when you press and drag a handle. Because you can edit instance thats not on the selected layer on the current frame.

So that must be my new request.
An Exposure size info in the LayerPanel bar that appears when you press and drag Instance handles. and which changes together with the handle drag.
Maybe it should show the Exposure size of the instance before and after the handles so if you ctrl-drag you are changing the sizes of 2 instances at one time so maybe it would be nice to se them both.

The numbers in the exposures are working while dragging, but in some interface colour combinations they're hard to read:

Is it possible to set this number to "invert" or some other colour mode so it sticks out from whatever background colour?
