Adding new instance on one layer adds one on all other layers

Hi!
How can I simply add a new instance (in between other two for examples) without this adding one instance on all other layers above and below? I'm using either the I shortcut or Right Click>Insert image>Append image after.
I haven't worked in TVPaint since 2018 lol, but I remember back then I had a customized shortcut that I just pressed and it added a new instances (without the pop-up message that asks me about the number; I just pressed the key for however many instances I wanted). How do I do this again, please?? It seems unnecessary troublesome to do smth that should be the simplest and fastest to do, given how often we need it. I want to add new instances without the pop-up message.

In the shortcuts menu:
LAYER - Insert SINGLE Image After Current Image. No pop up, adds images to current layer only, for as many times as you press the key

I'm using either the I shortcut or Right Click>Insert image>Append image after.

Right clicking to add images is the same as using "Insert Instances After/Before Current Image" action which prompts the pop-message.

The devs set the default action for the "I" key to " PROJECT - Insert Images..." which is why it adds images to all layers in the current clip in the project instead of just the layer. So if you're already accustomed to using this key you can just change it to Layer >Insert Single Image After Current Image

To add to Cardin's post above, you can also do this from the Handy Panel > Managing Instances > +1 .
