MacOS Accessibility setting FULL KEYBOARD ACCESS disables shortcuts controlled by Spacebar

Post by D.T. Nethery »

For people using TVPaint on MacOS,here is something I accidentally discovered (and caused me quite a bit of trouble before I found the source of the problem!)

Somehow, I inadvertently enabled a setting called Full Keyboard Access in Accessibility (in the System Preferences). This setting will mess up any shortcut assigned to the Spacebar in TVPaint (and other apps). So,just a warning to all Mac users of TVPaint: do not enable Full Keyboard Access in Accessibility if you use the Spacebar for any shortcut ! If you find that all of a sudden pressing the spacebar causes some bizarre issues when using TVPaint , check to be sure that the Full Keyboard Access in Accessibility in the System Preferences did not accidentally get enabled.

On Mac do NOT enable FULL KEYBOARD ACCESS.jpg
