Re: First Film from Gobelins School made with TVP !

Post by rony »

Thanks Gravin

We made the lighting on characters on TVP between the colorisation and the compositing.
We used the "Fluo" brush tool and drawn frame by frame lights and
shadows in alpha mode over the "color" layers.

We used "Shine" from "Trapcode" on "After effects" to generate light beams of the boat, the fire fly and the lighthouse.
For the second scene, we also modelised the room in 3D on Maya and rendered a pass to enrich the light effects.

Hi! Thanks Mox for the link.

I learnt about this prize only yesterday night. It's a famous festival so I'm happy!
But it's a shame that the school didn't tell us that we were selected there. There were
many masterclasses, it looked cool!

Zigotto-hihi "Best 3D Short"

I read this on the site:
"Best 3D short:
This award will honor an outstanding short movie created with 2D, 3D digital animation, or live footage with
the integration of digital visual effects. Motion Capture Data can optionally be utilized for the animation.
Entries will be judged based on the criteria of Technical Excellence, Originality, Creativity, Design and Aesthetics.
The duration cannot be more than 30 minutes."

So it's cool

There were a lot of interesting graduation films, and a lot of ones derserved prizes too.

Thank you very much for your kind words, and thanks to the TVP team for all software adjustments
they did for us last year!

Now I'm working on my next 13 min lenght short film. I found producers and a place to do it and I hope
