HUD and UI should not be subjected to Guide snap

Post by Peter Wassink »

I noticed that when i tried to manually rotate a custombrush to place on a guide grid, i could not rotate freely because the handle of the Rotate brush - User Interface (Shortcut C) is snapped by the grid.

My request is that the rotation handle can be set to be imune for guides and grids.

i realize that sometimes you might want to snap the rotation handle, but i think in most cases people would like and expect it to be able to move free and independend from the active grid.

see picture:
as you can see the brush can only be rotated in a limited way

O_o

I wasn't even aware that this was a thing.
We'll have a look at it. It won't be in the upcoming update, but we'll see for the one after that.

maybe a 'CTRL' key overide of the 'snap' to the grid would do the trick?

Would be nice anyway, i mean not only for UI but also for the regular tools.
And robably the easiest way to approach it for the developers
