TVPAINT Camera Documentation

Post by cgmodeler »

Hello guys, we're writing a CAMERA parser for exporting MAYA cameras to -> TVPAINT camera, however we're running onto some issues with the speed curves, everything else is setup properly (camera position points and timing calculation)

Is there any documentation on how the speed curve is handled on TVPAINT when having rot zoom and translate values, we're thinking that tvpaint calculates the speed of the curve differently from a simple speed calculus, also how are the parameters computed when determining the speed for each Trans, rot, zoom value since all of them are on a single speed curve.

Any information on the subject would be of great help

Adding images and video here of comparison:

Thanks! (Sorry to repeat the post but I thought it needed a specific thread.

This is the comparison between maya cam and the resulting tvpaint cam
