What video WILL import into TVP?

Nothing I create in Sorenson Squeeze from my AVID setup will import into TVPaint by any method. I haven't tried any other video this session, but this video uploads fine to Youtube. 1920 x 1080. 24p Neither .mp4 nor .mov nor .VC1 nor m2v File sizes range from 3 or 4 MB to 14 or 15. (It's only about ...

Trouble with a GIF

I've saved a gif from windows' "lice" video screen grabber; recording navigation through a CAD model. The resulting .gif plays with windows 10's system player at about 6fps, which is about the right speed. Loading it into TVpaint to work on it, any frame rate setting over .36 shows as unpl...

Re: InterfaceClipped

Thanks. By the time I figured out how Windows 10 has changed the way the prtscrn key works (I susually use the snipping tool but I'm not sure it'll do all of both screens in this configuration,) the issue had corrected itself. Not sure how. Maybe by ending the task at the top of the TVPaint tree in ...

InterfaceClipped

TVPaint is opening without access to the top bar. This is from having two different-resolution monitors and moving them around between sessions.

I have my task bar hidden, and in this configuration I can't even access it to close TVPaint without Ctrl-Alt-Del>EndTask.

How do I reset it?

Thanks

Re: A few questions about Android version.

I'm wondering the same thing. Hesitate to keep developing skills on something that'll soon be obsolete.

(FWIW, I'm using an Android PRO 12.2. I bought a used one about 4 years ago and it's still going strong. High resolution, and relatively bright.)

did you try the "Image Source" FX"?
I tried that thanks to this suggestion, Peter, (to solve a lsightly different set of issues than the above) but I couldn't get a source within that operator to have any effect on the light.

Re: Volumetric Light controls

by melanie » Fri Sep 14, 2018 2:24 pm Can you show us examples please? I have adjusted the colour of the light and made an alpha hole for it to enter through; the light is coming through the hole into the image. The angle of the entire beam of light is too acute but how it naturally radiates can be...

Volumetric Light controls

1) Can it only be controlled by the layer it's on? i.e, could it render on one layer while the voids determining its penetration areas are on another layer. 2) This is connected to #1,I suppose: Can the light beams it renders be assigned to their own layer? 3) Can a source be blocked from coming tho...

photoshop plug-ins

It used to be that photoshop plug-ins could be dragged into a folder in Mirage and deployed in Mirage. Wondering if that's still possible, and if so in what versions? (I'm using 10 pro) 64 bit? 32 bit?"

Constraint with Extended Desktop?

Good to see TV paint at Siggraph this year. My laptop monitor is 1920 x 1080. I want to keep my layers window there. My 'secondary' monitor is 2560 x 1440, I want to work there. My attempts to set this up result in the interface restricting itself to 1080 pixels high. Looking for a way around that, ...

Re: TVP, Android, Tablet Options

Thanks, Bokenomics. The demo seems to work alright on the Note Pro (Android 5.0.X). Can you tell me what OS you are usingon your hybrid?

Anyone using TVP on Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 or OS 4.4?

Is anyone having success with TVP on a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2" Tablet, or Android OS 4.4? I have a used Pro on hold to buy if I can get some assurance that TVpaint will run on it. But I need to act fairly quickly. There's mention on the forum of an option to scale the GUI to the 1560x1600 resolut...

Re: TVP, Android, Tablet Options

A bit more research and I see that the GUI renders too small to work with on the Note Pro 12.2's 2560 x1600. (There's a developper-level programming hack to reduce it to 1920 x 1200 but it requires a pc attached, and I think that's too much to get into, and it still might render too small.) So I am ...
