Re: All custom panels and actions disappeared
As I know TVPaint stores all your custom panels in a special "default" folder. Normally it is located in c:/users/username/AppData/Roaming/tvp animation 10 pro You can have a look at there. But if your system admin installed the software new, the folder is probably overwritten with a new o...

Re: How does TVPaint exporting work?
TVPaint exports in many ways and in many different possible video formats. You have choosen to export an uncompressed .avi which is the best quality you can get out of TVpaint - but, yes, the files are very big. I don't know what you will do with your exported movie, but why don't you try a compress...

Re: qtcf.dll missing?
I would just try to download the missing .dll and replace (search on your system hd for it) the old one with the new one. If that not works there could be some broken registry-settings connected to the .dll. There will be answers on the Internet, but if this is to tricky for you, it's maybe an easie...

Re: Video Input - Lightable or onionskin function?
Wow, thanks a lot for the really helpful answers. Yes, our wish to use onion skinning is mainly directed to try out cut out animations in a stop motion way. For classical linetests it is not really needed, but there are sometimes excaptions (for example when our animation teacher take the drawings o...

Video Input - Lightable or onionskin function?
"Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes." LOL, I "love" this message, but anyway, here is my question: We try to emancipate from other penciltest software and want to use TVPaint to test (grab frames from video source) handrawn animation o...

Re: Camera view
There are two ways: 1. Search the "Display Settings"-Panel and switch of the Camera. This doen't mean, that the camera will be deleted. It is just to make the camera invisible in the UI. 2. Search the "Display Settings"-Panel and set the Passepartout to 0%. You will see the camer...

Re: Right click doesn't work
I think I had the same issue some days ago with my wacom companion. If I remember correctly I found a setting in the options of the wacom driver, where you can choose between "Hover Click" and "Click & Tap". After I choosed "Hover Click", the right click option in T...

Re: Example for a Hue Stamp Brush?
Thanks a lot, Peter! Now I got it. My mistake was, that I thought, that the hue-values of the pixels inside the brush are responsible for the look of the strokes on the paper. Instead just the saturation values of the brush pixels are responsible for the look. The saturation comes from the brush, an...

Re: Example for a Hue Stamp Brush?
Hi Peter, basicly I am asking for how to use the hue stamp mode. I did'nt tried it with a photo. Thanks a lot for that hint. With a photo I got some results thats helps me to understand how it works. I would also like to see an example of a hue-brush used in an artistically way. Is there something, ...

Example for a Hue Stamp Brush?
Definition of the words I use (For better understanding.I hope they are correct.): Stamp: That's what the brush is made of - the pixels in the brush Print: That's what the brush is printing on the "paper" OK, here is my problem: I try to analyse how the Hue Stamp brush-Setting is working. ...

Re: Faux-Fixe Random
I just want to add why I nearly never use the Random of the Repeat Image/FF. It is working, of course, but it only makes sense, if you want to random an animation timed on 1's. If you have timed on 2's, 3's and so on, the random totally destroys the rhythm of the animation, because it runs on 1's. I...

It's just an idea of another possible mistake:
Maybe you have filled the area accidentally a second time with the darker color.

Bug: Color Picker and Chromatic Wheel
Hello, I've found a little bug (I am pretty sure it is a bug ;-)): When using the color picker beside the A-Pan-Color Field and picking a color of the screen, the color wheel is changing, but not the Chromatic Wheel. When clicking on the A-Pen-Color field and picking it's own color, the Chromatic Wh...

Re: Sound out of sync
Hi David, there have been some issues with sound discussed in the past here. ( http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5039 ) Personally I never had problems. I suggest to do the following and see if something changes: - Set the sample rate of sound in the TVPaint preferences to the same s...
