Re: can i group anim layers without mereging them

Hi You can minimise the layers you're not currently using (with the black triangle icon next to the layer name) so that they take up lass space, and you can group layers by colour (using the little 'c' icon) and then use the colours at the bottom of the layers palette to manage which colour groups a...

Re: Audio delay on playback - while in program

Also - it might be worth seeing if 'Play All' is ticked in the 'Preview Settings' menu. With this ticked, TVP is forced play all the frames during playback, even if this affects the correct playback rate.

Re: NY Times article on Paul Fierlinger

Though it looks hand-drawn, the film is wholly computer-generated,
Eek! What have you been doing all this time, while your computer made your film for you?

Re: 300 dpi

Indeed - the ability manually to set the DPI in TVP would save a lot of head scratching for me. I know it's a straightforward calculation, but somehow it's one of those things that always gets me in a muddle.

Re: out of pegs / drawing time

Do I understand this right? People critique an idea because they bought themselves a solution? No, I don't think that's it at all. The swap tool's functionality has nothing to do with the off pegs feature - the fact that it can be use as a workaround in this situation is a happy accident. I'm const...

Re: out of pegs / drawing time

I should fire off a PM to Sven. For a nominal fee, you'll get the best script you'll ever add to TVP! :)

Re: where to start:

Sounds like you have a pretty good approach already! Compared to other animation and graphics apps, TVP does exist in a universe all it's own - but it is definitely a universe that's worth exploring, and the help and support you get here at the forum is second to none.

Re: where to start:

My advice would be, dive right in and start messing about - you'll soon have a whole host of questions you want answering, but you'll also have answered quite a lot of them yourself.

Re: visual layer reference

I've got a couple of keys set up with compound shortcuts (a great feature in TVP) - so that clicking one of the keys moves up a layer and shakes the image and another key moves down a layer and shakes the image - this (in addition to the single 'zoom shake' key) means it's possible for me to work qu...
