As said above, there are many ways to do it, here's mine:
- Boost the brightness, contrast and Saturation in FX Stack > Color adjust.
- Set up a circle selection with smooth 100 and invert the selection.
- Apply a smooth/blur all over the project.
Et voilà :)

As ZigOtto wrote above if the 'keep' button is checked, you should have 'subpixel' always on, if not I don't quite understand...
