Re: Changing frame numbers in timeline
Hi Paul How do I do it on MAC? I cannot access the starter scene - tried holding Command key, or Control key - nothing happens... What is exactly my way and why is it in dark ages? I love TVPaint, mainly for it being so good for those of us who actually do animation on paper, but after 25 years in a...

Changing frame numbers in timeline [Solved]
By default in TVP frame numbering starts with 0. Which is, sorry to tell - illogical nonsense... First frame should have number 1. Is there any way to change the way timeline displays frame numbers? If not - I will put it in feature requests. Thanks.

Re: More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
PC MAC LINUX - please leave this debate out of this thread, its really off-topic (By the way, I was 20 years on Windows, and I switched to MAC 4 years ago, and I can assure you - I never go back to PC in my life, sorry for escalating the off-topic again :))) I also want to add that there may be some...

Re: More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
Paul, sorry, but I don't see it in the instance panel, and I cannot find it even in the list of shortcuts. Are you using some kind of a plugin?Paul Fierlinger wrote:The Instance Panel has a Delete Inst + keep timing. It is also a key command.

Re: Cursor visibilty problem on Mac
So basically, having a different cursor when you are on the project panel and when you are anywhere else should do the job ? Did I understand it correctly ? Actually in TVP now, when I move the mouse over other panels, the cursor changes into an arrow no problem. For some reason it doesn't work whe...

Re: More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
About the selections on multiple layers, it's has been asked several time in this same forum. Sorry - missed it. Cause I was doing a kinda combined features request, so some got repeated... Deleting and removing an instance are two different things : * You can use the main panel erase button to del...

Re: More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
Hi Kwadrope 2 - agreed to selections on multiple layers, also something that was possible in CTP 3 - yes, that's what I meant 4 - yes, mainly for the unneeded blank instances, but then again - after I delete a drawing, I'm left with the blank instance, so it's basically the same for any instance 5 -...

Re: More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
Hi Fabrice I attached a screenshot to show what I mean. http://danasb.com/temp/TVP_ref/Picture_7.png As you see, here are 2 layers – one is animation layer, and the other – single image. The single image is automatically on hold and the timeline after the initial frame is only an indication that it'...

Good idea!madsjuul wrote:...For instrance I think the "Select the layers of this color" function should be connected to a layer so You know that you will select the the layers with the same color as the layer you clicked.

Color lables selection icons
On the left bottom of the Timeline there is this huge row of color squares used to select which colored layers we want/don't want to see. I think they can go into one stacked button and clear up space in the timeline.

More useful XSheet, improved timeline, drag & drop
1. To save the talk, an example of quite a good XSheet is the good ol' Crater Software CTP (see screenshot below) / http://www.cratersoftware.com / As a classical animator I prefer to work on a vertical XSheet, than a horizontal timeline, but that's not the main point. The idea in CTP is that the XS...

Re: cintiq presets
In TVPaint many shortcuts are not like in other regular programs. For example – standard Wacom scroll/zoom doesn't work this way. You can check the keyboard shortcuts inside TVP settings, and then assign what you need on the Cintiq (in Wacom preferences). I use the native ALT+Right click to zoom, AL...

Use the setting "save N# versions" in the preferences - then every time you save a project, TVP will save a copy of the file in the same folder, so if one becomes corrupted, you can always restore from the copy - it's a lifesaver!

Cursor visibilty problem on Mac
I'm using my MacBook pro 17" as a second screen, and the Cintiq 12" as my main work screen for TVP In TVP my cursor is set to "Point", so it's basically a very tiny dot, barely visible. But as long as I'm on the Cintiq, its perfectly fine, cause I'm using the Wacom pen, and alway...

Re: Playback performance problem on Mac
TVPaint creates hidden files in the temp dir. If you check the free space on your disk, you will see it will decrease slowly as you work, and suddenly everything is back when you quit TVPaint. Eric I enabled "view invisible files" in the Finder, worked on TVP for several days without clos...
