Re: What a curious technique!

But is the sum of the parts worth the whole? It's almost as if the two films will always have to be shown together, to make an impression, otherwise most people would not have even noticed what went into it and might shrug the film off as a little saccharine Christmas short without much of a story....

Re: What a curious technique!

Reminds me of the Fleischer setup for some of their animated films, like "Popeye the Sailor Meets Sinbad the Sailor".

Re: Xsheet - entering frames? Animo?

I tried using the XSheet a while ago, just to see how it works... it's not worth the effort, really. I think it's just a legacy feature that is still there for sentimental reasons. You can do so much more on the timeline view.

Electricity was never discovered...
Oh my, this pneumatic Mac gets really noisy when I'm applying an FX stack :)
Electricity can be steampunk... it would be powered by Tesla coils and steam engines.

Re: Can't Open Mirage Files with TVP 10.5

Old Mirage files open for me, too, just by double-clicking or opening from File menu (on Linux even, with files that had been created on Windows version of Mirage)

Re: Loading Project, Saving interface

You can't save or export from the demo, and there is a watermark when you playback your project. Otherwise it's fully functional, as far as I know

Tell me how you would do photo retouching with a vector tool? You can't... you need to manipulate the pixels directly.

Re: Why the **** isn't there a selection tool?

I don't know of any raster graphics application that does what you want. TVPaint is not 3D software nor is it object-oriented/vector software like ToonBoom, Illustrator, SynFig or whatever. If you want your stroked outline and filled color to be separate, you would put them on separate layers (you c...
