Re: TVPaint Animation 11.7.1 is available!

Hello David, I have edited the changelog to better reflect how it works: When applying some FXs like Keyframer and Multiplane Camera, if your Source is either Color Group or Selected Layers , the software will now ask you if you want the FX to be applied on a new layer. . My apologies for the rather...

Re: camera moves and import high rez BG's

I should note that they changed the name from Color & Texture Generator Layer (CTG) to Color & Texture Layer ( CTL ) as of version 11.7, but I'm so used to referring to it as CTG that I haven't got in the habit of saying or writing CTL. In version 11.5 and before it is still CTG. This was a...

Re: Improve Clip Naming Convention when Splitting Clips

In that case I would rename Clip_009b before splitting it again. I know you would, but that's not the case for everyone. Well, I suppose in the end using letters (a, b, c, d, e, ...) appended to the split clip is not so different than appending the word "right" each time there is a new sp...

Re: Improve Clip Naming Convention when Splitting Clips

In what I'm proposing we would always have the option to rename a clip anything we want to name it (just like now) , but instead of assigning the "left" "right" (numerous iterations of "right") to the split clips by default, a letter suffix would be assigned to each ne...

D.T. Nethery wrote: 31 Dec 2022, 13:46But there is no Video Output panel (this was removed several versions ago, at least on the Mac version. Does it still exist on Windows version ?)
It still exists on Windows, yes.
We will update the documentation regarding this, and the Panning tool keyboard shortcuts.

Re: TVPaint Animation 11.7.1 is available!

Hello everyone, We released a hotfix addressing the following issues: Linux builds for v11.7.1 are now available. Accessing a FX via the FX Main menu instead of the FX Stack no longer crashes the software. Importing an image, either via drag'n'drop or using the File > Import menu option now shows th...

Re: Video Input not working in 11.7 (or 11.5.3)

Hey David, I would think Apple has some sort of knowledge base for software developers to get information on how to keep track with changes to the MacOS ? They do have knowledge base, but only for their stuff, which we don't use. You have to keep in mind that they design the majority of their enviro...

Re: TV Paint 11.7 Crashing computer

Hello,

Yes, we uploaded the hotfix yesterday. It did came out a bit later than what we wanted but we found a few "under the hood" issues that we had to fix.
I will post the small changelog later today.

Re: TVPaint 11.7.1 operation check

(3) I would like to know the intention of the person who requested this function because it is not what I requested, but currently it is a function that displays the original position when pressed during playback in camera view. I asked because I feel that it does not match the description of the t...

Re: TVPaint 11.7.1 operation check

I think that the newly set tv_ProjectGetDpi is a command to get the dpi of the current project without a factor, but is it possible to get it from the image file by specifying iPath? This point is very important because it depends on whether or not continuous reading can be automated in one operati...

(4) As a result of File → Open/Import, png reflected dpi and jpeg was not reflected. Also, our studio staffs and Japanese users use tv_LoadImage to import custom panels that I created, so I hope that this command will also be supported. 221213_to_thierry_2.jpg When importing into the current projec...

Re: TVPaint 11.7.1 operation check

(1) Right clicking on the Camera tool now opens the Camera global settings. After changing to the camera tool, this operation is no longer possible. Good catch! It won't be in this week's hotfix, but will be present in the next software update. (2) An option has been added in the Preferences > Gene...

Re: TV Paint 11.7 Crashing computer

Also, Cardin, can you put your config folder in a zip file and send it to me via PM ? On windows it's the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\tvp animation 11 pro folder, on macOS it's in Library/tvp animation 11 pro. Then, make a copy of that folder (or move the original folder elsewhere) and try t...

Re: TV Paint 11.7 Crashing computer

Thanks for the report, we'll run some tests to see if we can reproduce those crashes.
For the moment on Windows 11 I am not able to make it happen.

Cardin, are you on Windows or macOS?
Which resolution scaling setting are you using? Are you zoomed in or out?
