Re: barefoot running
Yes, my foot surgeon agrees that each person has to see what works for his/her own particular feet. There can be arch breakdown problems for some people with the change in stride to the ball of the foot while others like me see great benefit.

Re: barefoot running
Tooneybrain....one question I have about the Vibrams is do you find little tiny pebbles creeping in...you know those painful little ones that really hurt?

Re: barefoot running
Yes, those "glove" shoes look very good to me. A little pricey, but on my dream list. I have been coming down on the balls of my feet for 3 or 4 months now. (I had a very long recovery from the surgery). Instead of going barefoot or buying anything, I have just been using some thin-soled s...

Re: for ebooks //wip Mieze Meyer
I love the new possibilities for self-publishing. I am so looking forward to developments. Your work looks so good to me but I do agree with Paul about the missing people....I want to see them through your eyes. As for my drawing... I am still pregnant...in gestation.... I hold my breath sometimes w...

Klaus, Since you are already a distinctive artistic voice (to me anyway) and I am a big fan, I am thrilled that you continue to get your work out "there". I appreciate your pioneering around this new technology. I have been investigating this too as I am also developing stories that only h...

spiraling lines
I'm making a little film with seahorses. Their tails coil and uncoil as they move and I'm trying to find a way to keep the tail the same length as it does this. It escapes my eye right now and it doesn't have to be perfect, but I'd like to have a beginning model of how this goes to be a guide. Does ...

Salvadore Dali and Walt Disney collaboration
Has everyone already seen this? It's not my cup of tea, but definitely different.

Re: where to start:
It's very good if you describe a task you are trying to achieve in specific terms. You might be amazed at how quickly people will answer with the right help. Not a huge task like "I want to make an animated film" but a smaller task like "I'm trying to pan a scene." TVP is like ri...

Re: barefoot running
One thing I found interesting. People who have given up the cushioning in shoes develop stronger feet and arches and their feet actually contract a little in size. The heel is to balance while standing but sends a jolt up the leg when it takes the shock of your step. When you come down on the balls ...

Re: barefoot running
Yes and you could make your own out of an old rubber tire once you see how it is assembled. But I would spring for the $21 bucks for the kit because of the kind of materials they send. I think they will hold up well and be quite comfortable. But I have been wearing just one of my Birkenstocks on my ...

Re: barefoot running
Young and brave to do that, I think. Here's a link to the invisbile shoe company http://www.invisibleshoe.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if you make the shoe yourself it's only 21 bucks. It's closer to 50 bucks if they make them for you. but they are easy to do: there ...

Re: barefoot running
I did not mean to imply that my bunion came from coming down on my heels while running. I agree it is hereditary and also from many years of tight high heels in my Hollywood days. (Acting, modeling). I can't believe you had surgery on both feet at the same time. You really were laid up! But it sound...
