Re: TV Paint on Surface Pro X

From what I can see with a quick google, tvpaint 32bit should work fine. The 64bit version of it requires a separate ARM64 build of the software - which I don't believe is available.

User Profile

Hi, I tend to move workstations a lot and I find I spend a good 10 mins getting my shortcuts loaded in, my panels, my preferred colour scheme for the display ;) and my rooms set up. What would be awesome is if you could save all your preferences and custom panels to one User Profile file. This way I...

Re: Library features.

Yes, would still love this :'( If you have some technical developers at your studio however, I think you should be able to import an entire library with a one button script. Still much easier for me to put model sheets on animated custom brushs per character, on embedded custom panels included in y...

Re: Library features.

You can copy and paste folders from the library btw, but it should be easier than that to make the library live up to it's true potential.

Camera input

I can't seem to get anything out of the camera anymore in TVPaint. It's the built in one on the computer I'm trying to use. It used to work many moons ago and was quite useful for referencing my old mug. Comes up as none when I try an select the input device settings, and there's no request in the p...

Library features.

Hi, A couple of thoughts that I miss when I'm using the library. Firstly it would be good to be able to export a library so that it could be used across many projects. Either that or have a universal and an embedded library; much like custom panels work. I find myself spending a lot of time duplicat...

Re: Festival in Portugal

The screenings looked well attended on Facebook when I looked a few days ago. I know a few people who went too.

I'm not sure many of the winners were in attendance from what I heard though.

Re: TVPaint on 68k Amiga - With Pressure Sensitivity

Ah ha, I see. I never saw TVPaint on my amiga. I was using Deluxe Paint back in the day.

I've animated in Photoshop before, it's not great and it makes you realised exactly why TVPaint is so good :D

How about the stuttering on the timeline when you playback what you've done?

Re: TVPaint on 68k Amiga - With Pressure Sensitivity

Your website says there was animation on the Amiga version, or do you specifically mean the very last version? "1992: TVPaint 1.4 In 1992, Herve Adam released an upgrade to TVPaint 1.0 based on the TVPaint Technology 1.4: TVPaint 1.4. The main improvement of this version is the integration of a scri...

Re: Compatability with Toon Boom products

I use TVPaint to get away from vectors! It's all to often used as an autotune/vocoder for drawing :D (half joke/half serious)

Re: TVpaint 64bit STD is lagging on Mac

The best advice I can give is to go back to 11.0.8... The new version just isn't functioning properly for professional use at the moment, and the previous version is good.

Re: TVpaint 64bit STD is lagging on Mac

I reported this issue too. It happens from 11.0.8 to 11.0.9 in TVP pro, so I had to go back to 11.0.8.

I use the storyboard a lot, it's got a great workflow from storyboard through animatic and to animation.
