i must say even after reading this thread i don't fully understand what this would add that can not already be done?
i also find the name "mode layer" very confusing as layers are orientated vertically while all the other options are all referring to horizontal units.

Re: why does it repeat last drawing/frame
You are are drawing on a new frame but not on a new drawing.
if you want a new drawing you should first clear the frame.
if you want a layer filled with a range of empty frames, select all frames (double click or drag under the layer) and press clear (skull and bones button in the main panel)

Re: Layer UI suggestion
Excellent UI improvement suggestions Lukas! i like your suggestion of having the instance handles only show when hovering over the instance. It would indeed make for a much less cluttered view of the layer. Your other suggestion is also very good and i believe easier to implement: To NOT color code ...

Re: Lukas Sketch Panel
Hey Lucas, great that you are sharing this!
I have seen this panel on the system of may former frameorder trainees and some functions are really great.
For instance i like the layer[LABLAY] and instance naming buttons. Very usefull!

Re: Color picker sample layer options
I remember Mark Chong (Lemec) once built an elaborate colorpicker for TVPaint that looked just like that.
Perceptual Palette.
If i remember correct it no longer worked in the 64bits version...
anyway i don't have it anymore. Not sure if Marc is still around?

Re: Export clips to TVP projects
A couple of things I thought about (If it would be implemented) -It would be handy if it asked where to save the files -Have the ability to save each created file in a sub-folder (with the same name) -Maybe it would be better if it not automatically opened every file -And there should be a good met...

Re: Export clips to TVP projects

Yes now it really works! Thank you for your Trouble! Sorry, yesterday i did not test it thoroughly i'm afraid and probably did not look close, imagining it worked :?
