Re: Imported PNG sequence from AE loses color

I have no problem importing it, the colors are there.
With both TVPA 11.0.9 and 11.0.0
Mac Pro, macOS 10.12.6

Re: Imported PNG sequence from AE loses color

Does AE supports different alpha modes for PNGs ?
PNG specs say they are never premultiplied.

Try to export it with the black background, to see if this is not a colorspace issue.
I know there is no ColorSync profile, but right now I have no other idea...

I wonder how they import from TVPaint, if they where able to reverse engineer the .tvpp format they are really good develooppers :)

Re: Main menu > View > Display with aspect ratio: what is it?

Do you remember CRT TVs ? On those, pixels weren't square, and "Display with Aspect Ratio" simulates this. I guess today you can safely ignore it (leave it unticked), unless you make your animation specifically for these old devices/video formats (PAL & NTSC) To see it's effect, you can create an NT...

Re: Creating Varied Transparency Mask

Yes it can :)

You have to activate "Stencil" on the gray-level layer, and then it will only draw (in any layer) where there is already opacity in this layer.

Re: RAM usage while exporting

Speed also depends on the export format and settings. For instance, PNG with a compression setting of 10 is *really* slow, with the compression at 5 it goes twice as fast with maybe a 10% increase of file size... Do you export as images or video ? As each image is exported independently (vs. a video...

Re: New Computer, Can't Download TVPaint

Your lucky because you're on a mac :) (That is, if you still have access to your old mac...) You can just copy TVPaint over to the new one. Either over the network, a USB stick, some cloud storage (or even email if that's the only way...) Our web hosting has become less reliable and we are looking f...

See here :

There you'll be able to download the installers for the version you purchased.
You can even do it right now, no need to wait for the dongle to arrive.
